Making urgent care work better for you

Our duty doctors are now both based at Salisbury Road in the afternoons. The walk in surgery continues as usual in the morning at Waverley Road but this change in the afternoons should make it easier for us to help with urgent problems, whilst also keeping a range of pre-bookable appointments available for patients who want to be seen in the afternoon at both our sites. We hope this new system is working well for you, please let us know if you have any comments or suggestions.

You can still phone as usual on the numbers for either surgery if you need to book an appointment or seek medical advice

Dr Durnford is currently on sickness leave until further notice. If you have an appointment booked with Dr Durnford this may be re-arranged with another GP over the next few weeks- the practice will contact any patients who are affected. We may also have longer than usual waits for appointments with your usual doctor. The walk in surgery will be available as usual.

We apologise for any inconvenience and we wish Dr Durnford a speedy recovery.

On a happier note we are delighted to welcome Dr Bandara as a permanent member of our team. Many of you will have seen Dr Bandara already as he completed his GP training with us at Waverley Road. He will work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from the beginning of August.
